MS, is a full-time faculty member in the Fashion Design Department at The Art Institute of New York City where she teaches Gerber technology. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) with degrees in Fashion Design and Apparel Production Management. She also holds degrees in Economics, Business Administration, Technology and Adult Education. Nugent has worked in New York City design rooms as well as at manufacturing facilities in South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Mississippi. She has broad knowledge of apparel technology systems including Lectra, Optitex and PAD USA and has taught the Lectra system to industry professionals in the Professional Studies Department at FIT.
