She previously served as a marketing instructor at Century College where she received the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2008. She is a former member and board member of Fashion Group International–Minneapolis-St. Paul region, Minnesota Festivals and Events Association (MFEA) and International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA).
