Susan J. Slotkis , ASID Allied Member, IDEC Educational Affiliate, IFDA Professional, is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Interior Design Department of Fashion Institute of Technology and an adjunct instructor at New York University. For 25 years she has provided interior design services through her firm Profiles–Personalized Interiors. She develops and delivers seminars on a variety of design topics. In 2011, Slotkis received the National ASID Chapter Medalist Award, the highest award bestowed by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) on Society members at the chapter level in recognition of outstanding service and significant contributions to their chapter and to the body of knowledge that supports the profession of interior design. She currently serves on both the International and NY Chapter boards of directors for the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) as Director at Large and Director of Branding, respectively. Slotkis currently serves on the International Board of Directors for the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) as Director at Large, producing their quarterly newsletter Network.
