Interior Design Materials and Specifications is a book and CD-ROM combination that covers the selection, care, and code compliance associated with materials for interiors from the viewpoint of the working designer, describing each material's characteristics alongside specification information and project management. Exercises related to the selection, specification, and installation processes give students the opportunity to select materials and practice project management tools related to an adaptive reuse scenario. This simulated project on the CD-ROM requires students to apply their knowledge of procedures and choosing materials in a "real-world" format, paying close attention to the reasons behind each material choice.

• Detailed photos and illustrations help students identify different types of materials

• Discussion of budgets, codes, sustainability, and functional and aesthetic aspects of materials in both residential and nonresidential spaces
